Quarterly Review

I’ve been working in corporate for a number of years! I’ve sat through endless meetings, reviews and business plans !!! So with it being the end of quarter 1, 2019 so I think it is only right to review and reflect on the last 4 months and look at projections going forward!!!

This week, my own career did a 360 and whacked me in the face and threw me over the edge a little !! I will tell you all about it very soon. I generally keep myself and my head in a good place but every few weeks I get a good head wallopping!!! I try to dodge it as best I can but it is not always easy! This coupled with some worrying news from fellow cholangio friends. I’m still climbing my way back up off the floor!

Ok so here is my quarterly review:

My map of the world is filling up. I quoted last year, that I may not visit all the countries of the world in my lifetime but my blog might and it is doing a good job for me so far!! I have 37 countries that have had a peek into the life of Sal!

I do think I can connect the world with my story and determination is the key! When I started writing my blog, I made a joke about reaching Greenland, Mongolia and Bulgaria!!! Well this week we have Bulgaria!!! Hello my Bulgarian friend, do say hello!!! Anyone know anyone in Greenland or Mongolia?

I’d have to do a full tour of Africa with free merch if I want to colour in my map there !!!

I have written just over 50 blog posts and reached 100 subscribed followers. This number is not massive and numbers is not my aim. I have been sent several messages on various Social Media platforms to boost my followers. I want my blog to reach the right people, not just the masses.

My blog posts have been viewed over 4000 times by over 1000 individuals and for that I am happy. Through the crappiest of crappest situations I am in right now, I am managing to put a smile on someones face with my ramblings or just make someone stop and think and maybe feel grateful for each day that we are given.

Many, many folk have said to me, “I look forward to that email coming in” or “I am really enjoying your blogs”.

I feel like folk have a little time set aside to read my posts…. like bedtime reading or wasting some time at work!!! A little real life jackanory!!!

Don’t hesitate when using the word enjoy!! I never wanted a pity party, it doesn’t give me strength or courage to face my challenges. I enjoy bringing you the facts, the reality… but in Sal style. It is what it is…. I am not going to cry out my days. It is not helpful to anyone.

As I reach out to others, others are reaching back to me and I have received some good support and tips to get me through the last few months.

I have received some lovely, heart warming comments, messages and video messages which makes it all worth while.

So here it is…… this is where my blog has reached!

Then I got this reminder from facebook. Whatever facebook. Thanks but I’m back in the thick of it !
